Changing Settings for the Target District

 

You can change the settings for a district at any stage of plan development. You can change the district ID, lock or unlock a district to prevent or allow changes, mark the district as completed, change the number of members, and change the long name.

 

To Change Settings for the Target District

  1. Click Settings1.gif in the Redistricting toolbox to display the Change District Settings dialog box.

    Change the district ID

    Type the district ID in the District ID edit box. The ID can contain up to 12 alphanumeric characters.

    Lock the district

    Check the Locked box. No changes can be made to the district once it is locked. Maptitude Online Redistricting draws a diagonal line pattern over the district.

    Unlock the district

    Remove the check from the Locked box. Changes can now be made to the district. Maptitude Online Redistricting removes a diagonal line pattern over the district.

    Mark the district as complete

    Check the Complete box. This also locks the district, and no changes can be made to it.

    Change the number of members

    Type the number of members in the district in the Number of Members edit box.

    Change the long name

    Type a long descriptive name of up to 40 characters in the Long Name edit box. A long name is typically used for VTDs or precincts.

     

  4. Click OK.

Maptitude Online Redistricting updates the district settings.
